MindSpace is a ground-breaking multi service mental health provision for children and young people in schools. This initiative links mental health professionals, educators, families and young people to provide early intervention, prevention and resilience training.
Since it's inception in Barnsley in November 2016, MindSpace's precursor 4:Thought has engaged with 200 young people and 63 parents and carers. The rapid success of this service inspired by young people has prompted a re-brand and broader campaign. MindSpace aims to address emerging mental health needs immediately, direct in schools.
Now proven, this powerful model of mental health support cannot be confined to Barnsley.
This sector-led initiative provides a fully-realised and scalable model that will be of substantial interest to commissioners, administrators and education professionals.
