National Careers Week / National Apprenticeship Week

Kirk Balk Academy is supporting National Careers Week and National Apprenticeship Week.


Throughout the week there are a variety of activities taking place:

Monday 4th March, Year 11 Apprenticeship Assembly

Delivered by Amazing Apprenticeships on behalf of the National Apprenticeship Service. Register with the National Apprenticeship Service for email updates on current vacancies. https://www.gov.uk/apply-apprenticeship

Wednesday 6th March, Year 8/Year 9 BBC Bitesize Creative Media Tour
We are proud to host the BBC Bitesize Tour, where students will hear all about careers in the creative media industry.


Wednesday 6th March, CV Writing and Apprenticeship Lunchtime Drop in
Supported by the Job Centre, students can get advice on how to write a CV and search for apprenticeships.


Friday 8th March, Year 8 Wentworth Woodhouse Enterprise Day
As part of the Wentworth and Elsecar Great Places project, a group of Year 8 students will take part in an Enterprise Day to develop employability skills.
